Fundamentally Awesome INC

Fundamentally Awesome is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built by families raising children who need a little extra care. We understand firsthand how difficult it can be to find places where children of all abilities are welcomed, understood, and included. Our organization exists to remove those barriers and create real opportunities for families to participate in community life together. We provide inclusive, sensory aware programs that support not only the child, but siblings, parents, caregivers, and friends. Our work includes sensory friendly events, adaptive recreation, safety and emergency preparedness education, caregiver learning opportunities, and our Birthday Club celebrations where many children are able to experience their first truly accessible party environment. We also host large community events like Adaptive Waterpark Day and community safety trainings designed so participants of all abilities can learn in a calm and supportive environment. Everything we do is centered on dignity, access, and belonging. Families do not need a specific diagnosis to participate. If someone needs a little extra understanding, they have a place here.
