Barcenas Mexican Grill

Since June of 1998 (27 years) Barcenas Mexican Restaurant has proudly served the Friendswood community with Tex-Mex and traditional Mexican recipes inspired by Guerrero, Mexico.

Founded by Homero & Josie Barcenas, lifelong Pearland residents, Barcenas is family owned and operated. Homero is a self-made chef who created all of our recipes, while Josie runs the front of the house and loves connecting with our guests.

Today, we’re proud to have 4 locations, with our children helping manage the restaurants. Barcenas Mexican Grill, Pearland opened in May 2024, Barcenas Mexican Grill, La Marque opened in July of 2008 (17 years), and Barcenas Mexican Grill, Marina Bay opened February 2024,, and is owned and operated by our longtime head cook of 26 years, Victor, and his wife Nelly.
