Teen Detained After Another Teen Found Shot Inside Brazoria County Home

A 17-year-old was detained by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office after deputies found another teenager suffering from a gunshot wound inside a home southwest of Angleton.

Deputies were called to a residence on Live Oak Drive after receiving reports of a disturbance and possible gunfire. When they entered the home, they found an 18-year-old woman with at least one gunshot wound. She was transported by Life Flight to a Houston-area hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

A 17-year-old male was also inside the home when deputies arrived and was detained at the scene. Authorities have not released details about what led up to the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing. No charges had been publicly announced as of the latest update.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional information about the relationship between the individuals involved or whether the shooting was accidental or intentional.
